And Another...
On a scale from one to ten, I'd say class today finished on a solid 6, maybe a 6.5. That's not to say it went poorly. I'd like to think that a 6 and above is a pretty generous score for anything 'school' related in general.
We went over another poem, that poem being "The Negro Speaks of Rivers", which was apparently about the experiences and history of the black race. Or something to that effect. I learned that the meaning of the word "dusky" is shadowy. Not dark, as what unfolded in class makes it appear as though that simply isn't an acceptable definition. So, "dusky" - 'shadowy', not dark, good to know.
