It's Just Another Reflection
My headache has subsided, and my only homework for today is this blog post.
Needless to say, I'm in a better mood than yesterday. The main topic of the lesson today was Rhetoric of Place. Which, was surprisingly exactly what it sounded like. It's the "rhetoric" portrayed by, and you'll never be able to guess... the "place". Meta! Intellectual! Revolutionary! But, really, it's as simple as that. I think. I could always be wrong. Rhetoric itself has a bit to do with implication in most aspects of it. In the different categories of applied rhetoric, like Crisis Rhetoric and such, you take words, phrases, or pieces of text, and they should in some way apply to the different features of their select rhetoric. In the case of Rhetoric of place, the place is the piece of text, and the implication is the symbolism of it. Since places have their own implied symbolism, you'd take to a place that well portrayed or supported your meaning when presenting a certain thought, concern, or expression.
Clear? Thorough? Comprehensively expressed? No? Unfortunate. Moving on.
Aside from the main lesson, we briefly went over our homework from yesterday on Crisis Rhetoric. A couple of people read theirs. How well I was able to follow along past the first bit is irrelevant to how well written I'm sure everyone's pieces were. Chef's kiss, really. On -- whatever it is was covered.
A bit monotonous. Droned on. Anyhow, good day.
