Reflection Go Brrrrrrr...

Amusement parks. Amusement parks are 'mesmerizing'.

No, I wouldn't use that word to describe them, not really. But, in the moment, when posed with the question "What place do you find mesmerizing?" or something like that and time ticking down on the bell ringer, amusement parks were the only place that sprung to mind. They're captivating sure, and entertaining no doubt. And fun? Well, that's kind of their whole schtick, isn't it? But, I wouldn't use the word mesmerizing. I 'think' that mesmerizing implies a much more intense immersion than any amusement park I've ever been to has cast.

For some reason "Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening" as the title to the poem we read, seemed to elude to a much simpler concept than the actual contents of the poem. But really, most concepts are much simpler than the concept of suicide or escape. And the concept of dwelling in a bad moment, having to look back on the promises or responsibilities you have in life to ground yourself to this existence. To think of such a path as suicide or any considerably negative escape from the present as lovely, dark and deep woods that you'd want to get lost it or remain in. Though, the point of the poem seemed to be that one doesn't have time to get lost there, and/or one has more to do before their end.
