Wild, I Guess

 

 What would you bring on a thru-hike? Water, snacks, a tent... a gun perhaps? Disregard the last item, it's apparently wholly impractical. Consider a knife instead. Add a backpack to your list while you do, it isn't implied. If you see a brown bear, a grizzly, play dead. If its black, instill fear. How does one instill fear in a bear, one might ask? Make noise and shout, do what'd seem like the opposite one should. This information could save your life one day. 

Then again-- you could just stay inside.
